Founder's Story

Dr. Arun Ghosh, the Founder Director of IPER, was a visionary educationist who believed in the powerful integration of education and psychology as twin pillars of human development. He was deeply committed to advancing research and practice that would foster holistic growth, particularly among children.

With a strong conviction that understanding the psychological dimensions of learning is essential for meaningful education, Dr. Ghosh dedicated his life to creating pathways for innovation and progress in child development. His work reflected a rare blend of academic insight and social commitment.

In recognition of his outstanding contribution to society, he was honored with the National Award for Social Welfare in 2001 by the Government of India. His legacy continues to inspire IPER’s mission to nurture informed, empathetic, and inclusive approaches to education and human development.
