IPER Women’s Capacity Building Programme -Aparajita
The aim was to help the community women, with whom we work, come together as a group to discuss important topics, support one another, and strengthen bonds. These meetings provided a safe and nurturing space for women to connect, share their experiences and gain valuable insights that can help them in their lives. These meetings organised two days a week aim to empower mothers with knowledge and skills that can enhance their lives and the well-being of their families; provide opportunities for personal growth and development, learn new skills and pursue what they desire to do. Sessions were taken on communication and parenting. Women learnt the art of paper quilling and made greeting cards. They were taught to make paper bags. They participated in making ‘rakhi’. The women expressed interest to learn English and Bengali, for which classes have been started, as well as some recreational activities.
